Betula was founded in 1994, based on 230 years of tradition and experience of the Birkenstock family in Germany. The Betula sole is constructed in unmistakably correct anatomical shape. The Betula footbed is flexible and shock-absorbent and constructed for optimum posture, natural walking, and overall well-being. The unique form of the toe grip encourages the natural gripping motion of the foot and the ridge construction also stimulates blood circulation. The arch support stabilises the mid-section of the foot. The longitudinal arch support supports the natural foot stance. The deep bedding in the heel area provides excellent stability and pressure relief to the heel bone.
